We all hide things from our kids. Please tell me I’m not the only one with a secret stash of chocolate that my kids don’t know about.

There are lots of reasons we hide things from our kids. And many of them are actually quite admirable. We want to protect them. To spare them. To prevent them from worrying.

The problem is that, in the process, we oftentimes end up hiding things that our kids actually DO need to see as well.

So how do you know what to let your kids see and what to keep private? That’s exactly what we’re talking about today.

Key Takeaways from Episode 21:

+ Seeing you and your spouse express affection gives kids a sense of security.

+ You don’t need to have your finances all in order to start teaching your kids about money. You can learn together.

+ Your kids will see you argue. It happens. But do they see you reconcile? That’s what they need to see most.

+ Expressing your needs and boundaries to your kids models healthy balance for them.

+ Let your kids see your relationship with God in action.
